Description
The pink poui tree flowers during the petit careme, a short dry spell in the early part of the rainy season in Trinidad and Tobago.
These trees are quite magnificent, and have been planted in two rows around the periphery of our Queens Park Savannah, in the capital city of Port of Spain.
The trees also grow wild in the hills of the Northern Range, along with the yellow poui trees.
I have chosen to raise the temperature of the pink, making it a ‘hot’ pink indicative of the hot weather!
