Description
My interpretation of a traditional Carnival character, French clown, in colourful strips of fabric stitched to a full-length body garment.
This character is often seen at Carnival time in Trinidad and Tobago, masquerading on the two days before Ash Wednesday.
Here it is depicted in a swirling motion, of brightly, coloured strips of fabric.
Done in the ‘gutta serti’ silk painting technique.
