Here are my original, one-of-a-kind designs painted on silk, using the ‘gutta serti’ resist method, depicting a variety of themes ranging from the eco-environment, to world cultures, to 20th Century artists, to colour experimentation.

I think of myself as a teacher first, and then Printmaker/Textile Designer/Silk Artist. I work mainly on 100% silk Habotai. My work has grown from lengths of silk, to ‘wearable art’, to wall-hangings. I enjoy the challenge of ‘marrying’ Amerindian, African, East Indian motifs, to Native American, Chinese, and European motifs, with bold tropical flora and fauna. My style can be described as painterly and fluid. The ‘wearable art’ may be worn throughout the year, or used to adorn the home.

Wear it or hang it!

I welcome commissions, and am available to teach workshops. I continue to show and to exhibit in Trinidad, as well as juried art shows in the New Jersey area. The prices range from $10 to $1800.

I continue to work with the support of my immediate family, and with the encouragement of a growing number of customers who have become part of my artistic circle.

Thank you, and I hope that you continue to enjoy the journey with me.

Welcome to the warmth of the tropics.
